Months ago .. I know :P Been too lazy to upload photos and update blog. Apollo Chocolate is strawberry + milk chocolate; one of Meiji's classic sweets, I must say. I've been eating this since I was a baby. :P
Macaron - February 29, 2008
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR :) Haven't updated for awhile but I'll start picking it up again. I haven't eaten any "new" snacks lately =P
So, I tasted my first macaron today. I've been wanting to try them since summer; I saw them on a tv show introducing French cuisine and it seemed good! And what attracted me even more was that they sell it here, where I live :) So why did it take such a long time for me to buy them and try them out? Well, they're pretty expensive for just one piece, and I thought that it didn't deserve it, even though I'm desiring it, like, a lot. So today, I finally decided to try it since I went shopping and saw them! Sorry for bad photo quality since I used my cell phone =P
I bought two: Chocolate and Chocolate-Fraise.
I tasted the Chocolate-Fraise (pink) one first and at first, I thought that they're supposed to be soft and fluffy like cake, but hey, they're not! It's crunchy and crispy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside.
So, the Chocolate-Fraise one is a bit less chocolate-ly, but tastes more sweet. Meanwhile, the Chocolate one is more chocolate-ly (obviously!). I think I like the Chocolate-Fraise one more :)!
AHH I'm gonna try more flavors when I'm rich harhar.
Meiji Strawberry & Vanilla - February 2007
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! It's fluffy like marshmallow, except it melts faster than marshmallow. It's like mousse inside. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Glico Caplico Black Cone - Strawberry - November 2004
Oooh these Glico cones are absolutely yummy. It imitates ice cream cones, with the cone tasting like sugar cones. And inside, the "cream" appears to look hard or crunchy, but it's actually soft like mousse. Yum.
Pocky Strawberry 50% - February 2006
This version of Strawberry Pocky has 50% more strawberry chewy pieces in it, whereas the previous versions have 25% or none. :)
Pocky Decorer Peach Strawberry - November 2005
I bought this because I wanted to try whether it tasted like peach, since I'm interested to taste a peach flavored Pocky.
Very sweet.
It looks pretty, as usual.
Released at the same time as Decorer White.
Pocky Decorer Fraise Au Chocolate - January 2005
The Pocky itself is very pretty - the strawberry coverings have such nice textures, it's fun to eat :) The chocolate is bitter but the strawberry is sweet, so the two adds a balance.
